D as a grade

wut if u get a D in ap physics... will ur admissions get revoked?

same boat, buddy. The admission contract thing says yes. But others on this board have said if you immediately inform the university, they may let you make up the course in summer school. Maybe at a jc?

can anyone testify to that?

its true. IMMEDIATELY TELL THEM.

i dunno, but my friend got a D in AP calc her senior year (1st semester) and didnt get admissions revoked

^ no, but i bet she had to repeat it or take a summer makeup

so a notification immeditely will be fine as longa s u make it up?

I reported a D on my mid year exam (not overall grade) and I still haven't heard from them... it's been a month now and I think they forgot all about me. They did remind me about housing though so I can't have gotten my admission offer revoked.

I know someone last year who had his admission revoked, but i do not know how horrible his senior year grades were. There was no way i was going to ask him....he was devastated.

The website above lets you notify them so you can the problem resolved.

Well, I'm in this boat too, but with an F in AP Calc. I notified them through the form on the 1st, and have yet to hear back from them. Can people please post their results when they start coming back?

You notified them on the 1st and you still haven't heard back? They say within 15 working days and it's been over 10 so I think you'll hear back soon.
For me I had accidentally marked I received an A one semester jr. year when I had received a B. (I've been told it won't make a difference, but I wanted to make sure they got it fixed and was told to fill out the form to correct it.) They said they received it on Mon. and I haven't heard back yet. I can't imagine anything like this affecting my admission (that would be the worst thing ever......) but it would still be nice to hear back from them with some confimation.
Let me know when you guys hear back from them. Also, did your status change to "we received the latest updates, we'll let you know when we're done reveiwing?"

Just heard back today. Failed AP calc, dropped it, and I still get to go... without retaking it :)

God, I made out like a bandit on college admissions.

I got a letter two days ago - but it was just a printout of the provisional admissions contract, so no big deal. Anyway, the grade isn't important because Stanford admitted me in spite of that hideous D on my transcript. I guess they realise that nobody in our school gives a hoot about midyear exams.

good job guys..hey just a quick ? did your status change to "reviewing changes, we'll let you know the update?" I'm still waiting to hear but my change seems pretty minor (I hope)!

I don't have any Ds or Fs, but I'm afraid that my gpa will be lower than a 3.0uw (4.0w for me since i'm in ib) -- how serious would it be if I had like a 3.86w?

you probably have time to pull it up to a 3.0. do you mean you have a 2.86uw...because ucla only looks at uw for senior gpas. I couldn't imagine it being much of problem, but I would try to keep it above a 3.0
