My sophomore year in Honors Chem. I received a D. I know for every UC you must have at least 2 years of lab sciences so next year I plan on taking either Honors Physics or AP Biology (I already took gate Biology freshman year). I'm just afraid that this D will come back and bite me in the butt.
A little background, I'm African-American (Yes I know UCs don't accept off of race), a California resident, I have a 3.58 GPA (mainly because of a bad sophomore year but my average junior year GPA is 4.15), an 1820 SAT score (this was my first attempt and I plan on retaking it), and I've been in band as long as I could remember and I've been best in the county on my instrument basically since I started, I've done track, cross country, been in my school's student government and Link Crew. I've also have been a tutor at an Algebra tutoring program for the past 2 years. Any help is great.

I should have also mentioned that I signed up for summer school for chemistry but my school had 70 kids with Fs in chemistry and they only let 40 in so I didn’t even have a chance to get in
