I have just over a 3.8 GPA in college, but I majorly struggled in high school (2.5 GPA). I was thinking about applying to transfer to Penn, but figured my high school history would pretty much be a deal breaker.

Most schools have a statement where if a transfer student has more than ~24+ units, they will no longer consider the HS record.

if you’re applying for junior year, you will show that you have grown and can handle college-level work, so go for it. write really good essays and you could have a shot. if you’re applying for soph year, i say wait another one

Why are there so many “transfer to Penn” threads? People should be looking for an elite that fits them, not because it’s top 10, and also depending on WHAT YOUR MAJOR IS.

I want to transfer to Penn because its close to where I currently live, and it does fit my needs. I don’t just want to go there cause it looks pretty and is in the top 10.
