I just got my score back recently and I didn't get mastery (<85) I don't want to say my score because I'm really upset with it :(
All of my other regents grades (except 2 that I took in JHS) are 90+. Will a relatively low physics regents grade affect my chances of getting into ivy leagues? Specifically ivy leagues such as UPenn, Cornell, and Columbia?
P.S. Should I retake it? I would have to wait until January.
P.P.S. I'm from NY btw. Not sure if it makes a difference.

anyone? please help!

Isn’t that a state standardized test?

Do colleges even look at standardized state tests?

yeah it’s a state standardized test

@jcabelleta: you could post this question in the regents thread

They don’t ask for those. They won’t know. Unless NY has something special about theirs.

I don’t think any schools other than SUNYs, let alone Ivy League schools, even bother to look at regents grades. What was your grade in the class? If it was good, then you’re fine.

its on my transcript so yeah. we have this little corner specifically for regents lol.
and my grade is a 95 but will schools think my grades are inflated?

^^^That’s EXACTLY what I thought when I got a pretty bad score on the regents… I have a 98 for the class, but an 84 for the regents…

Then again, I got a 97 for USH and 93 for the class

In CA, high school seniors don’t even take the annual standardized test.aka CST.

^^^ True. I was kind of upset. I liked taking a weeklong half-break from school, and I definitely missed it senior year.

Jimbo: I love CSTs too. No hw for most of classes, and teachers won’t teach of course.

so will one bad grade make sunys reconsider accepting me?

can someone answer my question please ^^
