Will Appalachian State University rescind me if I failed one duel enrollment course

I really want to know two things… I took a duel enrollment course with a community college that neighbors my high school but I failed the class in the second semester of my senior year. However, On the Common App I never had my duel enrollment courses set to send to my colleges. Does the grade still show up on my high school final transcript? Secondly I want to know if doing poorly on a duel enrollment class would even get me rescinded at ASU. I’ve made A’s and B’s throughout all of high school and made good grades in my AP classes and although this is my first time ever failing a class, it is actually the year I’ve had to work the hardest in my life so I have a good explanation for them if they ask me. I’m also on the more overqualified side for App State.

just so many red flags here…

when you applied you were supposed to list ALL your classes on the common app. Not just the ones you want to tell them about. Furthermore the school REQUIRES transcripts from this class

Since it sounds like you are planning on “forgetting” to tell them if you can be sure it isn’t on your HS transcript, this may lead to you being rescinded once they check the national student database and discover your lapse. And given you failed the class I suspect the adcoms will be able to put two and two together and figure out it probably wasn’t an accident, pouring cold water on your appeal letter.

Adcoms may not be convinced by this argument. Lots of other kids take tough classes senior year without failing any of them.

Contempt for your fellow students and school isn’t a great foot to start on. And since most App state kids pass all their lower division classes, that you didn’t pass a class at a CC ought to lessen your confidence in that statement…

Hope it all works out for you.
