I’m a freshman but my all time dream is to go to Usna. The first semester of freshman year I have gotten B’s in Spanish and geometry. Will this be a problem. I also play football and I am first chair percussion in my school’s band. I sometimes go on church mission trips. I am only taking the most advanced course possible for each subject and by the end of high school will have taken four years of computer tech and programming classes. What are my chances?
I also play baseball and have won many piano competions
It isn’t possible to give you any idea of your chances, yet. Those B grades will not keep you out as long as you continue to improve. Standardized test scores are very important, so take the SAT and ACT early and often to get the best scores possible. Continue in athletics and other leadership activities. Don’t try to do as many extracurricular activities as possible. Do a few that you enjoy and strive for leadership positions in them. Stay in shape and be ready for the fitness exam. Check the DoDMERB requirements and gather information on any potential disqualifying conditions. Good luck.
