Will Case Rescind Me?

Hello all! I had some health complications during my second semester that led to me missing a lot of school. While this is certainly not an acceptable excuse for a drop off in my 2nd semester performance, I was wondering how it would be evaluated when Case gets my final transcripts? Is it very likely that they will rescind my admission? Also, if I had my Calculus teacher write a recommendation on my behalf, would it help in any way? Thanks.

I would talk to your GC about how to handle this. Certainly you should take Calculus again at Case.

Not likely, in part because Calculus is hard for many students and, in part, because rescinding a student has ramifications on the university’s side, as well. Meet with your H.S. GC. He/she will help in letting Case know. It may affect your math placement next year.

hey! My math grades dropped a bit too after I got in. It wasn’t a problem and shouldn’t be one now as long as you don’t outright fail, in which case you might be put on academic probation
