I was accepted under early action. I have never gotten a C before in my life. I am an A/B student. There is a chance that I could get a C in AP Calculus AB just because it is extremely difficult and I am not very good at it. But the rest of my grades are fine, all A's and B's. Do you think that there is any chance of Case rescinding me just for getting one C? Because I am so scared.

I highly doubt it. You are taking a challenging class. My daughter had some pretty low grades senior year. She was accepted to Vanderbilt and they did not rescind. Relax and try to enjoy the rest of your senior year! I am sure some current Case students can confirm you have nothing to worry about.

I think 1 C would be okay, but the other grades need to stay up and you need to see if you can get the calculus grade up. Think of it this way: if you were in college and were struggling with a class, you would need to figure out how to do better.

Go to your calculus teacher and ask how you can do better. They could refer you to a tutor, tell you where to get extra problems, tell you to go to office hours. Use this opportunity to learn how to study more effectively.

The only time I have heard of CASE rescinding an admissions offer has has to do with flat out lying on an application and inappropriate (illegal) activity prior to matriculation.
