I know this is rather long but I'm awful nervous about this and I wanted as complete of a list I could give! Please chance!

for the top schools on your list, it all comes down to your essays, and passion/commitment to EC’s. If you have both, I would not at all be surprised if you were admitted to most.
Wharton and Olin are your only bad boys  Good luck!
Chance me back?

@LetterPurple I agree that Wharton and Olin are difficult. Actually I’m personally more interested in Wash U and will apply ED there. As for my essays I am pretty sure they will be good–I have won several writing competitions and my aunt will be editing and looking them over with me. She’s a professional writer who graduated from Oxford and has won many awards for her skills in English. I am fretful about my ECs though as i put in a lot of effort but rarely am the best at what I do. Also the majority of activities I participate in rarely offer leadership opportunities but still take a lot of hard work. Anyway thanks for the chance and will chance back!

Also if at all possible please give responses in percentage or safety/match/reach form

UNL: safety
Case: low match
Rice: match
UMIch: high match
CMU: reach
WUSTL: reach
UC: high reach
Penn: high reach

UMich Ross pre-admit would be low reach. UMich LSA would be high match and you may apply to enter Ross in sophomore if admitted to LSA.

@billcsho I didn’t know that was possible thanks for letting me know! Would it be fairly easy to admit into Ross then during sophomore year? I’m not sure if I would go to UMich without knowing that Ross is most likely in my future.

@Tfiosnerd You may see the admission data from 2013 here: <a href=“Bachelor of Business Administration | Michigan Ross”>http://www.bus.umich.edu/admissions/UndergraduatePrograms/PDF/BBA_InfoSheet_lo.pdf</a>
Regular admission to Ross is actually in sophomore.
It should be getting more and more competitive every year though.

@billcsho‌ thanks for the information!

You need other tier schools other than Wharton, Olin, and Ross. Try NYU Stern, Boston College, UVA McIntire, and Penn State.

Your EC’s might not be strong enough to get you into Wharton or UChicago. But everything else should be decent chances.

Olin: Low Reach (although, WUSTL’s admission decisions can be hit or miss because of their want for a high yield rate… really anything could happen)
Ross: Low Reach
Wharton: Reach
UChicago: Low Reach
CMU: Low Reach
Rice: High Match
Case Western: Match
UNL: Safety

@Oberyn I personally am not a fan of living in NYC so I took out stern for that reason, I was thinking of maybe adding USC and Boston College but am not sure yet. What do you think my chances are for these schools as well as the ones I mentioned earlier?

@sirswish7‌ thanks for the chance! WUSTL is the one I’m applying ED to and is my favorite so I am okay with that. thanks!

@slincoln49‌ I’m applying ED for Wash U (forgot to mention that)
what do you think my chances are then?
Thanks!

I think you will get into at least one of the more competitive colleges on your list, if you write a nice essay. It looks like you have a lot going for you, and that it’s pretty much up to the essay at this point. Hope you do well on that, but remember that UChic, and Wharton, among some others, are simply reach schools for even the most qualified, so try to go to their website, and look at their mission statements. Attempt to model your essay in a way that makes you seem like a fit for that school.

Thanks @IAmTheGOAT‌! I’ll definitely try to research more about the colleges and their mission statements and center my essays around that!

Hey!
