Will college call your high school to verify the materials?

Hey guys, i'm very curious if the admission office will call the high school to verify the material such as transcript. Because I took an exchange year in other country and the teachers there don't really know about U.S college application stuff...

How often do the admission offices do this such as calling the school to ask?

Thanks a lot!

Someone please answer this question, I am interested as well.

How do colleges confirm your extracurriculars, such as clubs you are a part of?

Generally they will not. Some high schools when they send transcripts include a list of what activities you participated in. But usually, they take your word for it.

If they ever find out that you didn’t actually do an EC or lied about an award or any from of dishonesty, they will reject you and sometimes notify other schools. And if you are already at the school, and they find out a year a later, you will be kicked out.

But to answer your questions, your exchange school shouldn’t worry about it :)
