Will colleges see my January SAT scores?

hi im scheduled to take the SAT I again on JAn 22. The colleges I'm applying to say dec test date is the last date or preferred last date to take the SAT. If you take the test jan 22 and rush score reports to a few reach schools they should get there by February 7-11. So chances are about 50/50 that they will see it before they review my applicatoin since the decisions go out april 1st i believe.

What will colleges do if I sent them the scores? Throw the letter away? Or will it actually affect my admission decision?

Email the admissions departments at each school you are applying to. Some may need the scores to be rushed, but some schools (like MIT) dont even consider applications till mid-March. In that case, the scores wont even need to be rushed. In either case, it's best to let the college know that new scores will be on the way.

hmm yea i guess I could email them and tell them scores are on the way and ask should i rush it or send it normally, but then they might email me back saying last date to take it was december blah blah

wow you're from houston? me too. i live near the woodlands
