I know that this is really annoying but I wanted to do it anyway just for a little peace of heart (hopefully). So i was accepted into AEM with a 3.88 GPA. Senior year, I am taking 5 ap's and kind of stopped caring after first semester so my grades aren't so great this semester.

I will have
AP Calc - A/B+
AP Lit - B+
AP Comparative Government - A
AP Physics - B
AP Chemistry - C+/B-

Even in the worst case scenario, will these grades merit the rescinding of my acceptance? Does Cornell care about the difference between your overall GPA or do they care about you doing super bad in a single class?

Thanks and sorry if this is annoying.

In general, as long as a student can maintain a solid B during senior year, the student will not get rescinded. However, it depends on what your average GPA was for your previous three years. If it is a significant decrease, it may have a slight impact, but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.

Nope. Nothing to worry about.

C+ isn’t really super bad, just bad…

you seem like a slacker to me. I will most likely rescind your admission for someone who show promises.

You’re fine. You have to either not graduate (due to failure, cheating, etc.) Failure to complete a class is a D pretty much so you’ll be fine. Basically, they won’t rescind, if anything ask you to explain what the grades are what they are and possibly watch for your first semseter at Cornell.

oh give me a break… a C+, oh noes

hey everyone. im also a '13 cornell Early Decision admit. I have maintained a A- average throughout my first three years of hs. For my senior first semester grades I continued maintaining the A- GPA, however in the second semester grades although I still got the A- average I failed calculus. Do you guys think Cornell will rescind my acceptance? or even put me on probation? Thanks for your replies in advance.

fail as in an E/F? or a C “fail”
