so far, i've noticed that stanford and Upenn require SAT II's by jan 1st.

Can i take the test on dec 3rd and still make it in time? or should i "rush scoring"?

When asked the FAQ of the latest testing date accepted, the two colleges answered as follows:

Stanford: "Applicants should make sure they plan to take the required standardized tests in time for the score reports to be received by Stanford before we begin reviewing applications. Single-Choice Early Action applicants must take the tests no later than early October, and Regular Review applicants must take the tests no later than mid December. If you follow these guidelines, you should not need to request a rush test report."

UPenn: "Register with the appropriate College Board office at www.collegeboard.com to take the SAT I with writing and two SAT II:Subject Tests no later than the November 2005 testing date for Early Decision candidates (rush report required) and the December 2005 date for Regular Decision candidates (no rush report required)."

I think you're pushing it to wait that late. If you get the flu, oversleep or through some fluke mess up the test, you're out of luck. Better IMO to do the test earlier.

ya but i gota finish most of my course first... but by the looks, i think dec is good

ps. So now most universities only require 2 sat II's since the writing is included in SAT I? should i take 3 just for safety in case of messing up one?

pss. do most people take SAT II's more than once?
