Will getting a "W" on a dual enrollment class negatively affect my application/transcript?

<p>I accidentally signed up for a dual enrollment class at a local university before discovering that the course material is waaay below the level of the coursework I have taken in high school. I don't think it would look good for me to take this class since most of it is a repeat of other classes I have taken, but it also wouldn't look good for me to have a "w" on my transcript. What would you recommend? I have my sights set on Ivy Leagues/top colleges so... </p>

<p>I mean just do it. College work is college work. No matter how easy the course is, taking it shows initiative, it will help you. I doubt that a college is going to look up the course materials and work</p>
