I am finnishing my 3rd quarter in my sophomore year, and as of right now my current GPA is a 3.97. I have been planning my ACT and am predicted to get in a range of 28-30. I was wondering if I hold true to what my statistics are showing do I have a good change of getting into MIT. I am planning on majoring in Biology and doing Med School pre reqs. I am currently taking the hardest classes my school offers as I am taking also junior year classes too. What other colleges would accept me that have a good biology college. Thank you for everything.
First off, work at your ACT (or SAT). MIT’s 25/75th percentile ACT scores are [33, 35] so a 28 would likely put you at a disadvantage.
Second, MIT looks for much more than just grades and test scores; we cannot really say much now.
Ok thank you. I have recorded 243 hrs of community service and have been involved in basketball football speech theatre band choir FBLA ffa environment competitions track church activities math Olympics science fair and a few others I can exactly remeber what they are called, but thank you. Do I have any chance of getting into a good biology school?
