Will i be admitted to the Kelley School of Business

I a currently a freshman that applied to the Kelley School. I have taken a total of 26.5 hours on the IU campus and took W131 and L202 in high school, my grades are as follows

Highschool

W131: B
L202: A

First Semester
GPA: 3.8
Credits: 13

F101: A (Folklore)
K201: A
Finite: B+
Judo: A
Spanish 280: A

Second Semester
GPA: 3.5-3.6
Credits: 13.5

E201: A
T175: A
C104: B+
F280: A (Folklore)
Spanish 328: B- (My Concern)

I am worried that the B minus will keep me from being accepted, any input would be appreciated. The only reason I am posting this is because if my odds of entrance are slim, I will probably drop the summer accounting classes that I am taking. If makes a difference i plan on taking A100 A201 and M119 this summer.

Thanks again

Your K201 and E201 grades are very impressive. I don’t see how they can keep you out of Kelley just because of the 300-level Spanish grade.

Also, you have 32.5 credits, not 26.5.

You probably went to hs in Indiana, given your having taken W131 and L202 (a literature class, I assume) in high school. If so, you might look at taking Ivy Tech classes and transferring them to IUB for icore prerequisite credits. Among the pre-icore classes you can take that will transfer from Ivy Tech and which you still need are L201, calculus, and Econ E202 (required for graduation and a prerequisite for BUS G345, if you want to take an upper level finance/accounting class your sophomore year at IUB). You could probably knock these out this summer for a lot less than you would pay for the IUB classes and with a lot less effort. You need only a solid C or higher to transfer the credit to IUB. A201 and A202 won’t transfer from Ivy Tech to IUB.

Also, if you live near Indianapolis, you could take A100 at IUPUI this summer. It meets during the day or at night in both six weeks sessions; it meets only six times the entire semester. Are you an accounting major taking A201 this summer to get a head start on upper-level accounting classes? If so, you could take A201 and A202 at IUPUI this summer (or A202 at any IU regional campus if you don’t live near Indy). You would have to take A100 first summer session, and A201 second summer session.

Good luck!

Appreciate the feedback and i am currently enrolled in both A100, and A201, for the summer.

when are spring grades going to be posted?
