Will I be rejected?

So I just got an email telling me that I got into Cal Poly SLO… But I screwed up two of my classes first semester of senior year… I got 2 D’s. What will happen? Is there anything I can do?

? Well if you JUST got an email saying that you were accepted…

In the case that I misunderstood what you are asking: the worst that could happen is you get a warning of some sort. What can you do? Nothing about those 2 Ds. From here on out just work as hard as you can to keep your grades up. If you can do that for the rest of senior year you should be fine.

@fizzy110‌: Isn’t it possible that Cal Poly hasn’t yet had the time to process (file integrate) all the Mid-Year Reports it received?

@TopTier It seems odd to me that they would send him an acceptance email without having received all of the required transcripts. But I guess it’s not impossible!

Transcripts are not due until July. The school at this point only has what the applicant stated on the application.
On the acceptance it says senior grades with a C or better are what’s expected:

“You are cleared to enroll at Cal Poly pending receipt and verification of your final official transcripts and confirmation that you have successfully completed with a grade of ‘C’ or higher all coursework currently in progress.”

You might want to contact them and find out what will happen. Good luck!

I stand corrected - best of luck OP

Contact GC and SLO immediately. You chance being rescinded if you do not address the problem now than later.

Like everyone else is saying, contact them. I’ve heard admissions officers say they go way easier on people who tell them in advance what happened - because otherwise, it feels like the student is trying to hide that grade from the university.
