Hi im really concerned and scared i will not get accepted to any cal state school because I have an unweighted 2.6 gpa and weighted it 3 something. I do a lot of volunteering.
Ive taken honors and AP but my grades went down junior year and my SAT and ACT scores are bad I got a 1042 on it and im really nervous to the point where i feel like community college is where i should go.

There’s nothing wrong with going to a community college. They have great transfer programs to UCs and CSUs. Just browse your local CC’s counseling and transfer services.

If your CSU GPA is 3.0, I would try to take the ACT or SAT again and raise the score as much as possible. There are many Cal States that you could apply such as Monterey Bay, Dominguez Hills, Channel Islands, San Macros, Bakersfield etc… You do have a chance at several of these schools. Good Luck.

Use that to calculate your CSU GPA - they only include academic courses from grades 10&11 - they also drop +/-. Yours could be much higher than you think. Also, I am guessing the SAT you list is just Math and Reading - if so, a 1042 isn’t as bad as you think. You’ll qualify for lots of schools.

An EI of 3400 (3.0 GPA and 1000 SAT) will get you into Sonoma, SFSU, Sac many others (for most majors).

Run the numbers yourself and see where you stand. Another stab at the SAT wouldn’t hurt.

Thank you
