I have a 2.5 GPA with a 1310 SAT score...

Can I get into a Cal State? I just applied to 8 of the Cal States with the highest acceptance rates.
I’m also taking 2 AP classes in my senior year atm. Will that help me at all?

my advice to you if you don’t get in consider going to community college and bring up the gpa and re-apply again you’ll save loads of money as well but just keep in mind its highly competitive cal states mainly focus on GPA like any other school but like i said if you don’t get it in consider going to community however, there’s people that i know who a that low gpa and got into cal state fullerton so you have 50% chances whatever happens it is what is you’ll just have to wait and see and hope for the best

Yes and Not really.

All the cal states except SLO use the same basic formula to evaluate applicants. They look at completion of the a-g course list, your GPA from a-g courses from grades 10 and 11 and SAT/ACT - that is it…

You can read about it here

Assuming your CSU GPA is 2.5 your index is 3310 - that will get you into most majors at most CSUs. The more selective campuses - SDSU, LB, Fullerton, Northridge and Chico are probably out. You have a solid shot at most majors on the other campuses.

Sonoma, Sac, Humboldt and SF are good targets in N Cal, Channel Island and San Marcos in So Cal

Apply fast… the clock is ticking.
Good luck
