Will I get accepted?

I'm applying for summer B, I have 4 AP classes this year and im also taking spanish 3, english honors and 1 regular class, last year i took 2 AP classes and passed both with a 3. I have a 3.5 unweighted GPA, and 3.9 weighted, i think i can make my weighted GPA about 4.2 my senior year but ive heard UF doesnt look at senior grades. My SAT scores are really low, but im retaking the sat again soon.

Math: 610
Reading: 440
Writing: 540

I just took the ACT and i should be getting my scores on monday. As for extracurricular activites i went to a summer program at Embry-Riddle, i also did a government program in 11th grade, im on the academic team, a few clubs but im not a president, vp or anything like that in any of the clubs, and i also have about 150 volunteer hours. I really want to go to UF because it has a great engineering program. What are my chances of getting in? Im also asain by the way. What could i do to increase my chances of getting in? and if I dont get in what would be my second best college option for electrical engineering?

Suggestion-
SIGN UP NOW, THIS MINUTE for the October
1st SAT test if time permits, even if you
have to pay surcharge fees !
Your current SAT score ( in my opinion )
is a death sentence !
Good Luck !

I agree with UF not looking at senior year grades - I believe they want the senior courses and a year end transcript.
As for your chances…hope the ACT scores turn out better for you. Your scores are rather low. The 25% -75% range for SAT scores that I have from my research is 1140 - 1360 at UF. Currently you are 90 points below the 25% which is not a good postion for you. You may want to get into the next SAT test date and study, study, study up until then. Hope you get a great ACT score!

cnmpsyd i havent prepared yet but UF accepts sat and act scores until december.

RahRah ya i hope i get a great score on act, and it seems like uf won’t even accept someone with a low SAT score even if they’re great students in high school.

For the Class of 2015 admitted to UF the mean SAT score was 1963 and the Mean ACT Composite score was 30. Scores below 1800 on the SAT or below 28 on the ACT will usually
exclude one for admission to UF.

ya i just need to read faster and are the SAT and ACT scores the first thing they look at?

king just do your best. You can only control what you are capable of.

Apply to other schools such as UCF and FSU. Depending on your major I urge you to make UCF your #2 choice.

Good Luck to you.

Thanks I think UCF will be my 2nd choice if I don’t get into UF I am going to retake both the SAT and ACT 1 more time and do you think it would be better to go to UCF for 2 years and then transfer to UF or go to UCF for 4 years and then do grad school at UF? I really want to go to UF because i’ve heard it has a really good engineering department ( i think 30th in the nation). thanks again
