I am currently a Jewish Junior in a Catholic, Louisiana high school. I have been looking at Ivies and also some schools like UVA and Emory, which I really liked. I have an unweighted 4.0 GPA 35 ACT composite (all 35 sub scores if relevant). There has only been one year that I could have taken an extra weighted class. Next year I'll be taking AP Calc AB and BC, which my school does not normally offer. I'll also have finished 5 years of Spanish. For EC's I will be a 3 year varsity lacrosse player. I have heavy involvement in Math Honor Society. I'll be president and have numerous first place finishes at tournaments. I was class president sophomore year. I'm also involved in National and Spanish Honor Societies. I have won and placed twice at the district's foreign language festival. I also have done well at the district rally and I'm going to the state rally for statistics in a couple weeks. My PSAT qualifies for National Merit, so next year I'll finish the process. For service I have 50 hours last summer working at a summer program for underprivileged children, and this summer I'll get at least 100. I have roughly 30 other service hours from other programs. Sorry, everyone, I really do not like bragging like this, but I guess the situation calls for it. Any feedback is appreciated!

You’re probably not too competitive for the Ivies (your awards would need to be at national level) but you can just apply and “see”. Being Jewish at a LA Catholic school could be an interesting story.
UVA and Emory are reaches
Don’t take Calc AB AND BC at the same time - BC includes AB.
Look into Muhlenberg, Dickinson, UMiami.
