I am a third generation legacy at Harvard. am nervous that even whith my family connections i will not be able to get in to Harvard. My gpa is 2.9 w, 2.65 uw(this is me to due failing AP english twice). I got a 1340 on my SAT but i was sick taht day. math: 800, critical reading: 260, writing:280. Like i said english isn't my strong point. Math is. english isn't my first language and i share because people most cant tell. I need hnest opinions, can i get in?

(Not that I know), but if I were you, I would definitely work on the english and retake the SAT in January. You still have time to sign up for it. Cuz those are pretty low scores. Maybe your connections will get you in, but I wouldn't rely completely on them.

Good luck :-)

I don't think this is a serious question, honestly, but a real person in this situation would not be admitted. I don't think a person with these grades and scores would be admitted even as a developmental admit.

A third generation legacy whose first language isn't English? OK......

^^^:Yup a big doubt on the third generation Harvard legacy but President Bush also went to Harvard and have spoken the smallest gramatically correct sentences of all the presidential debates while Obama being the one who spoke the longest gramatically correct sentences.

hahahaah....LOL at indianInLA comment.

But seriously, I can see a very "well-lopsided" person in John_12391. How can you suck so badly (I say that fondly) in english and be so good at Math? You dont live here in the US? Dont speak the language at home? Why did you take AP english twice? How are your other subject grades? Are they stellar? I dont think Harvard will care much if you are just not good with english but you have to prove your science and math prowess by taking some SAT-2s and scoring heavily on them.

If the OP is real, he says he's failed AP English twice. I think that would be a bit of a problem, even if his first language isn't English. I observe that this is the first and only post by this poster.

How can he fail AP English twice? Did he take it in sophomore and junior years?
