will i get into Boston University??

my gpa is a 3.5
sat 1760
and act 25
my first choice is boston university... do you think i will get in?

my parents are making me apply to the ivys but i am 10% positive i WILL NOT get accepted.. but some of my friends got accepted to prince, yale and cornell... i feel like a failure...
i know i could've done better in high school if i didn't slack off sophomore year.. now i feel like I'm not going to get accepted anywhere...

Based on those stats alone, I’d say you have a shot. If you can raise your test scores that’ll help.

Don’t have much else to say, though I’m sure if you’ve got some impressive ECs you shouldn’t have too much to worry about?

I got denied to Boston with ~1850 GPA ~3.6
but good luck though, write a really good essay and have outstanding EC’s and hope for the best~

I think it’d make a good reach school based on your stats. You’re not guaranteed with those stats but you still have a chance. I think you could definitely get into the College of General Studies program if you apply to that because its admissions are a lot less rigorous than the other programs at BU. It’s a smaller class size and broader discipline program that you do for two years and get most of your gen eds out of the way, and then go into the degree program of your choice for the next two years. I recommend reading up on it though because it’s not for everyone and not worth going to BU if you hate the program.
