Will I get into UCLA or University of Pittsburgh nursing?

Hi! I am a high school senior this year and I am applying to nursing schools (including USF, UCLA, Pitt, King’s College London, UMiami, UCONN, Michigan State, Northeastern, UMASS Amherst, etc)
What are my chances of getting in??
Pitt and UCLA are my top choices if I am accepted. I think UCLA has a 5% rate for nursing and Pitt is 22%.

I have a weighted 4.29 GPA
31 on ACT’s

I volunteer in the nursing dept in a hospital and I have a lot of volunteer extracurriculars, work experience, national honors society… huge participant in band and music (not that that matter for nursing)
I have a rec letter from CQO of UPMC

660 Math 2 subj SAT (not great)
650 Bio subj SAT

I think my personal statements and essays are very strong, I enjoy writing them.

I am very nervous about applying and not getting in so tell me what you think my chances are! (be harsh!)
Thanks very much.

UCLA is a Reach just due to low acceptance rate of less than 5%. You are very qualified applicant but no way to chance with those low odds and your SAT II subject tests are a bit low.

Apply and hope for the best.

Are you a CA resident? If not there is no fiinancial aid at UCLA for OOS students even if admitted.

I got into Pitt nursing with similar stats (33 ACT 3.83 unweighted GPA)! The one thing that sucks about Pitt’s application is that is doesn’t have a spot for extracurriculars, so I would encourage you to write about them in at least one of your short answer questions (they’re optional but encouraged!)
