WILL I GET RESCINDED IF MY A'S DROP TO B'S??

Hi guys,

I’m usually the one telling my friends not to worry if their grades drop slightly and that they won’t get rescinded but now I’m the one who is worried! I’ll be attending Claremont McKenna this fall semester. I’m taking 4 Ap’s (calc, lit, comp sci, gov) and honors physics. my general gpa trend leading is: 2.8, 2.8, 2.33, 3.5, 4.0 (4.16w), 4.0 (4.16w), 4.0 (4.8w). One of the primary reasons I was accepted to the colleges I was accepted too I think was because I worked my butt off 1st semester senior year and got straight A’s + a high SAT score to make up for my lackadaisical start to high school.

SO CONSIDERING ALL OF THIS would it be bad if I got let’s say 4 B’s and 1 A?? (or even 3B’s and 2A’s)? Should I ask the admissions office what their policy is or is this generally ok? (my B’s will be in comp sci, calc, & lit).

I’m semi- freaking out and if someone could assuage my concerns that would be great!

Your “B” courses are pretty tough courses, and being APs they are expecting students to be challenged, so I think you will be just fine with a couple of B’s in those courses. They should be understanding, especially with your awesome GPA trend (good job btw!!) and high scores and other good grades. I do think you should get some extra help, though, such as tutoring and staying after with teachers to see if you can possibly get any of your B grades up to an A. Then, if you still can’t bring them up to an A, you should contact admissions and see what they have to say, so that they don’t think you’re just getting senior slump and growing lazy. Good luck! :slight_smile:

no. even C’s should be fine. Senioritis is common and unless you fail or get multiple D’s, you shouldn’t worry

Ok thanks so much! I will try and work to get some of these B’s up to A’s!

@kingslayer7 How many Cs?
