will i get rescinded IF MY A'S DROP TO B'S??

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in but here I go.

I’m usually the one telling my friends not to worry if their grades drop slightly and that they won’t get rescinded but now I’m the one who is worried! I’ll be attending Claremont McKenna this fall semester. I’m taking 4 Ap’s (calc, lit, comp sci, gov) and honors physics. my general gpa trend leading is: 2.8, 2.8, 2.33, 3.5, 4.0 (4.16w), 4.0 (4.16w), 4.0 (4.8w). One of the primary reasons I was accepted to the colleges I was accepted too I think was because I worked my butt off 1st semester senior year and got straight A’s + a high SAT score to make up for my lackadaisical start to high school.

SO CONSIDERING ALL OF THIS would it be bad if I got let’s say 4 B’s and 1 A?? (or even 3B’s and 2A’s)? Should I ask the admissions office what their policy is or is this generally ok? (my B’s will be in comp sci, calc, & lit).

I’m semi- freaking out and if someone could assuage my concerns that would be great!

(The reason my grades drop was that I planned a 2wk family trip right before ap exams. I had talked to all of my teachers ahead of time to make up all the necessary work but the 2wks before the trip I literally got the sickest I’ve ever been in my life. I didn’t go to school for many days and missed much more work than I had originally anticipated)

might be a good idea to inform the college of the reason for your drop and assure them that your previous work is more representative of you as a student
