Hello everybody, I'm new to this site and I have a question. I just finished my spring semester at a community college. I have sent my SIR to UCLA, created my Bruin Card, and sent up orientation. I have completed my IGETC, however I might recieve a D in Music Online 101. The provisional states to report any D's, and if you havent maintained your GPA. These are my spring Grades( I am a history major btw)... History 117 B
Biology 122 B Armenian 101 A(5 units) Math 100 C Music 101 online D
I am very nervous that I will get revoked. The thing is i have completed my IGETC, and since mucis is a non igetc class the units still transfer with a D giving me 60 units. What do you guys think... In case of a D what do you guys think with my scenario

You need to report the D to UCLA by following the instructions at http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/NewBruins/Changes_Transfer.htm, make sure you provide an explanation for the D and offer to make up the course during summer. Depending on your academic profile and the explanation you provide, UCLA may decide to extend or revoke your acceptance. Repeat the course anyway as you can attempt appeal once you receive your grade. It’s important for you to notify UCLA now instead of waiting for UCLA to find out in August after your transcript arrives. Late summer acceptance revocations are almost never reversed.

So say you get revoked, they can revearse it? or how does it work

you would have to request an appeal. it is a long tedious process w/ very LOW chance of approval. I would take the class asap in summer. find a cc that is offering the class that is the first 4 week session so you can turn the transcript in as soon as you are finished with the course. good luck!

Keep calling the admissions office and let them know of your situation. Tell them that your class that you had low grades in is not applicable to whatever you’re doing (i don’t know what igetc is? sry). The best thing is to make some friends in the admissions office. Make sure you note down who you talked to last, and keep asking to talk to that person. They will probably sympathize with you more.

I honestly think you’ll be fine though.

Report it now and see what UCLA says. If you are revoked, you have 2 weeks to file an appeal. Appeals with compelling information (an excellent reason for getting the D) are more likely to be considered.

If UCLA revokes you after transcript evaluation in mid-July, there aren’t a whole lot you can do at that point (you can still appeal, but so is everyone else who got revoked).
