okay so i'm in hs and i just got accepted to vassar ED, and i want to drop AP Calc now. I've been taking it for exactly half of this year, but now with spring track starting, my workload is going to drive me insane. Does anyone know vassar's stance on this issue? All my other classes are Honors/AP. Is there a chance I'd get un-accepted if i drop the class?

noo, just explain

sportswiz-I think you really have to call the Admissions Office and ask that question. I have heard schools say that they have accepted you based on the classes you are currently enrolled in at acceptance time. If you change that schedule, some schools believe that you are no longer fulfilling your end of the deal. My advice would be, "don't drop it until you hear from Vassar that they will not rescind." No use taking a chance after a great ED acceptance!

Haha, "un-accepted." A+.

(z), yes let's all make fun instead of help the kid out..

hahahaha (z)

I don't know if you'll be unaccepted, but you might want to talk to your guidance counselor or call Vassar to ask them about it, like momof3sons said.

agree with the above. Contacting the school to ask first is the safest solution. Personally I think schools only revoke admission decisions in light of exceptional situations, like you suddenly fail everything or commit some crime, yada yada yada. Seriously, if your workload is insane then you have good reasons for dropping that class, Vassar will understand (especially considering that all your other classes are Honors/AP...)

^^
