Will I still be able to get Aid next semester?

Some things happened last year which caused me to miss classes and resulted in me dropping them. This resulted in me still having a 0.00 GPA. As you know, FAFSA and TAP requires at least a 2.0, so I get no aid this Fall. I’m also a transfer student.

My question is can I take like 1-2 classes and pay that then next Spring, will it count in as a grade so I will have full-time aid by then by taking 4 classes/12 credits total? The thing is I don’t have enough to pay for 4 classes or full time atm and really don’t want to get a loan or anything like that.

Every college has its own criteria for satisfying Satisfactory Academic Progress. A 0 GPA clearly doesn’t do that.

If you take two classes and get a 4.0, your GPA will still be very very low.

You need to contact YOUR college and find out what to do to satisfy their SAP requirements.

I seriously doubt you can bring your GPA up to a Satisfactory standard taking only two courses.
