Will I still get into a university with F's in two pretty irrelevant art classes?

I want to transfer to a university from a community college. I have pretty good grades, A's and B's, but I have these two art classes that I failed a year ago, that really hurt my cumulative G.P.A.
They are obscure art classes (Figure drawing and Ink Painting) and my major is science related and has nothing to do with art.

There is no way I can re take them as I switched community colleges last year, but will this hurt my chances of getting accepted into say, SF State, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, or San jose state?

Thanks for all the help guys I just really dont know what to do..

If they’re high school grades they probably won’t matter too much. Many colleges are actually taking art/ gym classes out and refiguring GPA anyway so that could help you. All you can do is keep getting good grades in the courses you’re in (and maybe not take any more art classes =P).

can you tell us why you failed them?
