Will I Succeed as a Biology Major?

<p>I'm trying to convince my parents to let me attend UVA instead of UMich because it's only about ten hours away from home and in my opinion, it is the perfect school for me but they're intent on one and one thing only: will I get a proper biology education that will enable me to succeed in graduate school if I go to UVA because UMich is more presitigious for the biology program?</p>

<p>Can anyone help me convince them?</p>

<p>I’m entering UVA as a First Year this fall, and I am majoring in biology. There’s not much convincing—UVA has an amazing bio department; UVA is the #1/2 top public university in the country. That’s pretty much all there is to say.</p>
