<p>Yes. You have all the information you need to “estimate” your FAFSA from and CMU Fin App…Why Wait???</p>

<p>You can turn in your tax forms and W2’s later on…</p>

<p>I just called in today. CMU gives a deadline of Feb. 15th for the Tax Returns and Carnegie Mellon Financial Aid App. The woman I spoke to said it was a soft deadline. But that if I had the numbers I could submit the online Financial Aid Form now and send in my tax returns when they are ready.</p>

<p>so, they are rather lenient on it? cuz i submitted FAFSA on friday, they still didn’t prcoess it…so I can’t really submit the form now online.</p>

<p>I think you’ll be fine. As soon as you see they have your Fafsa on The “Where am I in the Process” page, submit the online form. It is very simple and doesn’t ask for too much info. You then have to either fax or mail in a signature sheet to back it up.</p>

<p>When colleges are handing out money, it’s always better to be towards the front of the line than the back.</p>
