Will making a new ID for SAT hide my old scores to colleges?

I made a new ID.....so that my old SAT score would be on my other ID which i don't want to send......so when i'll send my new scores in....will my other ID scores be shown?

Collegeboard is smart enough to have already figured this trick out.

You don't need to after mar 2009, i guess.

but i didnt just do it to hide my scores....i changed my surname as its written in my passport....so the other documents i send to colleges will have the same name.

Go ahead if you want to and see what'll happen!

u mean u know what'll happen? =/

You are not the first to think of this.
If this were "possible" than there would be alot more people doing it.

how do i know if they know..? do i get a message? I did not send scores to any college on my old account...

As far as i know, u can't change ur surname once ur account is made, so i made a new one with my right surname, the same as my passport, so that when i send my transcripts and other documents, colleges won't get confused.

It's possible to do this with an exceedingly high amount of effort. I did it and backfired; don't bother.

wow, you are one dirty kid.

Problem is: my parents wanted me to take Oct SAT II's, but I didn't think I was ready. So what I did was, I took it under a "throwaway" account then I'd take it for real under my own account. I ended up getting an 800, 790, and 720 (I liked all these scores), but I couldn't keep 'em...had to retake them in Nov.

Lame, eh?

how did it back fire arachnotron? do they send scores to ur old account or simply cancel them?

i just wanted to know what they will do if they do know that i have 2 accounts.....will they cancel my score or just report the scores on my first account?

[From Collegeboard's website]

Can I create more than one account?
You must use only one account to manage your College Board activities, so that your record remains complete and you continue to receive critical updates. Do not create a duplicate account.

You will not be able to start or access any College Board testing activity, such as SAT or PSAT/NMSQT, if you've already started it with another account. For example, if you register for the SAT with one account, then come back later and create a new account to get your scores, you'll get an error message that tells you to sign in to your original account.

"You will not be able to start or access any College Board testing activity, such as SAT or PSAT/NMSQT, if you've already started it with another account"

But i did....i made a new account and registered for the SAT 2 Subject test. Does that mean that they don't know that i have 2 ID's?

Lol, you're like one of those guys who thinks he's finally found out the secret of winning at casinos. Except instead of gambling your pittance, you're gambling your future.

FiSHO, please reread this.

I'm not making a throwaway account, even my first account wasn't a throwaway one. I took the SAT 1 2 times, then the SAT subject test chemistry, i didnt send any of the scores to any college, and my surname in it was wrong(realised that later). So i made a new account and changed my surname to the right one and registered for my SAT 2 exam.

I had a friend who had this problem; if it's really just an error that simple, you can call the CB to have them merge your accounts. I couldn't do it because I REALLY tried hard to fool them.

WOW! ur actually risking ur future by doing this, but the surname problem happened to me too....since i'm an arab, we have different family names and surnames so i didnt know what to do to change it....so i made a new account...and corrected it....and collegeboard never did anything....i did my SAT 1 exam, got my scores on the new ID...and i sent them to colleges without any problems....but i don't know if this will work for you....and i'm not encouraging u by saying this....this is risky....and i had no intentions of "hiding" my scores, since i only took the SAT 1 once at that time.
