Will a good score on subject test Math IC make up for a low SAT I score in math??

I think I screwed up today in SAT I with my math score... I think it will be abnormally low than it should be and I am not sure what I can do. I am doing EA to Ivy-level schools.

Well what do you guys think? I am in precalculus now. I do not think I did well in SAT I math in this october test (partially due to bad bubbling... I was sure I could have gotten 650+ atleast), so maybe I can make up for it with either Math IC or math IIC in november.

We just started doing trigonometry, sines, cosines, etc last week in Precalculus. Which Math test would I be more ready and prepared for in about a month?

Will it make up for the low SAT score if I do well in either of these Math Subject tests (which one in particular)?

If you're in precalc now and planning on applying to Ivy League schools, I get the impression that you're not even a junior yet - in which case you have very little to worry about. Just work hard and retake your tests. And DO take math IIC, IC is almost exactly the same as SAT I math and will not look very competitive on your application.

not necessarily. most of the kids that have been to admitted to the ivies in my school took precalc their senior year. if you can't take calc, then you can't take it o well. you can't really take math level 2 without a full year of precalc. just get good grades in precalc.. and i wouldn't worry about your math sat score until you get it back.

If it makes a difference, I dont plan on majoring in anything science or math related. So maybe its not that bad that I take Math IC... or is Math IC really not that respected among top schools like HYP? Or will it just not make up for a Math SAT I?
