Will most of the people who are ultimately accepted receive "likely" letters?

When were likely letters sent out?

If I haven't received one by now, I guess I won't be getting a decision until late March/early April?

You were deferred weren't you? deferred people dont get likely's, only amazing URMs, legacy's and people with unbelievable hooks get them (from Yale). I think the only way you could get one after being deferred is, if they deferred you because of a HUGE mistake or if you won intel or something...

but I'm not sure, so you can always keep hoping, but I think that even if it is possible the likely's were sent out already...

btw i'm a deferred SCEA applicant as well, i hope we both recieve good news march 30th!!!

Are all the likely letters out and the scea acceptances and now just some spots left for us?

Ok, somebody already sent me a pm about it so i hereby want to correct my previous post:

I meant to say that athletes receive likely letters, not legacy's... sorry!

the stress is getting to me....

:)

I haven't heard of any more likelies likelys? in a while....alls quiet...the apocalypse is near

So if Yale accepted around 700-750 EA and sent out 200-300 likely letters so far, they've admitted 900-1150 students already. Which means they'll likely admit only around 800-1000 more students.

The likely letter says they only send out around 100 likely letters.

Zogoto, did your letter guarantee that you're in the PS program?

Is that the science thing? If so, then yes.

me too. Its cool that that guarantees about 3k for a stipend to spend the summer after freshman year working in a research group on campus.
