Will Mount Holyoke re-accept me after I decline offer of admission??

I am an international student applying to Mount Holyoke under ED admission. I got accepted and was very thrilled until I realized my fin aid package was not enough. I wrote an appeal letter but MoHo said no. The deposit deadline was 2 days after their reply (Jan 3rd) so I deposited to keep my spot. My family had a long discussion over the finances and agreed that we coud afford it but it would be a strain. So my dad wrote an email asking a release from the ED agreement. But after some recalculations my parents could let me go with some loan. I really love Mount Holyoke but don’t know if there’s any chance they would take me back with the same fin aid package. They rescinded their offer just a day ago. Any advice, pls??

You will do best taking this up with them directly. It’s possible that they will take you back. It’s also possible that FA is now earmarked for another student or that they have moved on to configure their class without you. Only they can answer that. But the sooner you act, the better your chance of getting the outcome you want.

Thanks for your advice! I already know what to do, just wanted some support and hear if anyone’s been through thr same.

Just be aware that the US schools will not provide federal loans to international students. As an international student, you need to seek loans from within your country.
