Will moving a lot in High school affect my chances of going to an Ivy League school?

Hi, I’m going to be a Freshman in High School this year. I really want to go to a Stanford or an Ivy League. The problem is my stepdad (doctor) likes to move a lot and in Middle school I moved 3 times. Will moving a lot in High school affect my chances of going to an Ivy League School? Every time I move, I’ll be that “new” kid and no one will vote for me in leadership positions (colleges like people who are in leadership positions) or maybe I can’t join a sport because I moved in the middle of the school year? How will I be able to join clubs if I move in the middle of the school year? I really REALLY want to get into a good school. What should I do? Anything helps.

Stability is usually a good thing in high school, all things considered, as all the disruption can affect your grades also. You’ll be able to explain about the moving as affecting your club membership. But the big question is, even if you decide you don’t want to move, what can you do about it? Do you have an option not to move if your stepfather wants to move?

Even if it does hurt your chances there is absolutely nothing you can do, so don’t stress about it.
Don’t get so wrapped up in college talk as freshmen just get good grades and enjoy high school.

You’re right. There’s apartments near my school and maybe I could live there on my own if I get a job? Do High School students do that though?

Lol you have to be tr-oll-ing right now
