Will my ACT score get any higher

I’ve taken the ACT four times and my scores are as follow. 24, 27, 28, 29. Is it possible for my ACT score to raise any more. I really want a 31 for scholarship purposes, mainly Drake University’s National Alumni Scholarship. I just want to know if it is possible, because I really want a 31 and will do anything possible to get that score.

Nope absolutely impossible /s
Practice more!

What are you specifically doing on a daily basis to raise your score?

What are your subscores on the 29 Composite ?

@carachel2
I study 15 minutes a day but I’m really thinking about increasing that because I only have two more test dates before I need a 31.

English: 29
Math: 26
Reading: 29
Science: 31

You should focus on English because with studying that is the easiest score to bring up. After that math is the next easiest to bring up. Your science score is good so don’t worry about that. Learn the basic rules for English test then keep practicing with practice tests on that section. If you have not already, go to Crack ACT online. They have all national test date archives of the tests.

Thank you for that. I was wondering where I should start. I have the Real ACT Guide at home and Barron’s Aiming for a 36 so I have plenty of practice tests. Do you have any reccomendations for how long to study each day. I have a lot of homework, this being my senior year, but I’ll try my hardest to balance both.

While Barron’s and all those test prep books are good for familiarizing yourself with strategies, the issue is you are practicing with fake tests. Nothing can replace the nuances of real tests made by the ACT. That is why Crack ACT is so good. Even a test from 2007 is better than something in a test prep book. It is tough to balance studying with homework so my advice would be to take a least a sectional practice test. By that I mean take an English test or math test at least one of those each day. That will help you limit your time…weekends are a great time to take full length tests. The key to utilizing practice tests is to see where you went wrong. Maybe jot down some notes on your common mistakes. Finally, if you want some great advice go and google “Prepscholar blog” they have great advice and stuff.

Are you talking about the Big Red Book made by the ACT with 5 practice tests? Because I have that. Also I will start doing one practice test a day and getting through full tests on weekends. My next test is the September test date.

No not the Big Red book, although those 5 test are good. Crack ACT is an online database of every test over the past 15 years or so. They are PDFs so you can just print them off. Just google it.

Oh, ok. Thank you so much I will be sure to check that out as well!!
