I am planning on using all the Kaplan books from 06 to now and I have used PR but that didn't help much :( Is there any other book you guys suggest that would help me raise my score? I want to get it to a 27-29 for the Sep. 12 test. Are there any other things i could do to better prepare for this other than the books.

Um, how many more years do you have left? Generally, your scores with improve with time as you learn from school (yeaaa, school actually helps on the ACT).

It’s possible no doubt with time. I brought my ACT from a 24 to a 32.

I went from a 26 to 29 with pretty much no studying during my second test date. I am shooting for 31+ come september. I am devoting two hours daily for ACT prep this summer and hope that it will be worth it.

Best of luck. I am sure its possible if you work hard…i think thats what I was missing or else I am sure I would’ve done better than a 29 because I know im more capable. Oh well, I am thankful for another chance and will not let it go like that this time!

Yes, you can always improve your score, until you reach the number that is appropriate for you. I took the ACT twice and got a 31 both times. I might retake it, but I still think it’s a good score. I reccommend taking real ACT tests. Get the Real ACT book that has I think 5 old tests and do all of them. Understand what you got wronng too and how you arrived at your answer. Good luck and I’m sure you’ll improve it.

You can definitely go up, although you are going to have to do a lot of studying. I have one friend that got a 24 on his ACT sophomore year that raised it up to a 32 his junior year and another friend who had a 19 on his first ACT and he raised that to a 28 with a lot of studying. Good luck.
