Hi guys,
So I was admitted for that class of 2019 and I’m super excited to be a Bruin but I had to report an academic change that is making me uneasy. This year, I am taking 4 AP classes and one online Multivariable calculus course. Due to heavy time constraints on my schedule, I was unable to finish the online calculus course before the deadline, so I will not be receiving a final grade for it. I reported this as a course drop on my ucla application page. Will my admission get rescinded for this??? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated because I am freaking out rn
Make sure that they find out from you personally. College is like dating…
If your gonna find out that your girlfriend cheated on you, it better be from her mouth. Or, inversely, she could hide it from you and gamble that you will never find out.
Catch my drift?
For anyone reading this thread, you need to tell them ASAP. They will eventually find out anyway, and the earlier you tell them, the more you can do to make up for it if it matters to them. For example, if they really had a problem with this, they can tell you that you need to take the course in summer school if you told them early enough. But let’s just say you didn’t tell UCLA and they found out about it after you sent them your final transcripts in the summer. It will be too late for them to make you take the course in summer, so they might just rescind your admission.
That being said, I don’t think you dropping the online course in this specific case is a huge deal. But tell them ASAP.
@angi56520 , did you receive any emails from them? I had to drop music theory, but it was an actual class. Because I am not majoring in music (undeclared), I don’t think they will rescind my application.
