My gpa will be 3.8992 after my last semester. Will it round up to 3.9?
and which honor will I get? This is how it is at my college:
Magna cum laude: 3.7 - 3.8
Summa cum laude: 3.9 - 4.0

I’d guess Magna especially if they calculate it to 4 decimal places. But either way you are at a 3.8. Just a guess.
In my transcripts it goes to 2 decimal places. I just gave the full number because I calculated it myself.
Sorry I meant to say it rounds to 2 decimal places. (can’t edit my posts for some reason)
I would say that you are at a 3.89 (which is an amazing gpa!) so magna cum laude - also amazing! Hopefully you’ll get a more definitive answer from your school or perhaps someone with more concrete knowledge on CC.
Let us know. Mathematically it rounds to 3.9 and 3.90.
Does the school document whether they round or truncate GPAs?
It says:
“CGPA requirements for honors are not rounded.
Summa Cum Laude: 3.90 – 4.00; Magna Cum Laude: 3.70 – 3.89; Cum Laude: 3.50 – 3.69”
I’d guess it rounds up, but it really depends on your school.
