So, I have a very specific plan: Focusing on the math SAT for the old one, and waiting out for the easier reading comprehension on the New SAT- would my previous math SAT score be transfered if I take the new SAT- aka choose my math SAT score from the old one, and my new SAT score for reading comprehension?
@odog66 that’s called superscoring. Only certain schools do it. My best suggestion is to get a higher composite score overall the next time. As for how your score will appear, I will use mine as an example.
Oct 2014
690 CR 800 M 650 W 9 E
Jan 2015
680 CR 800 M (I did not “transfer” this, I did get 800 both times) 730 W 10 E
Notice how the scores are separate.
Now, some schools require you to send your entire testing history over to see if they can superscore anything or just because. However, a lot of schools don’t superscore, like the UCs or CMU, to name a few. My super score is 2220, but my highest composite is 2210. So for the case of a school like say, HMC, my SAT score will appear to them as 2220, because that is my superscore. However, if I apply to UC Berkeley, they will only take my highest composite, so my SAT score will appear to them as 2210, my highest single sitting. Lots of people who are fine with their composite scores will often retake the SAT for certain sections simply for superscores because their highest composites are good for matches and safeties, but they may need superscores if their reach school offers it, they might as well take it.
Hope that helped.

Something to think about.
I’ve heard the same as ^. A wise plan is to assume that you will not be able to choose your best math score from the old version and your best reading comprehension score from the new version. Hopefully you will find the new version easier in its entirety and submit it (with or without also having to submit previous results).
