Will my summer job help with college?

I'm a junior in high school and last summer I worked at my mom's office at the courthouse in our county. I worked there over Christmas break and will continue working there on all of my breaks until college. Everyone says that this job is great for me and will really help on college apps, especially if I'm going into law. I think I might be a paralegal because I'm not really liking the idea of law school. But do you think that putting this job on my apps will help me significantly? I'm also a pretty good student and get high grades which could also help.

Well you said that its your mom’s office so I’m assuming she was the one that hired you?

No, she is just a worker at the office. Her boss asked me to come to take your kid to work day and after working that day she asked if I would work for her over the summer.

I think it will help a lot. It shows interest, motivation, etc.

Thank god. I’m basically freaking out about college apps and I’m only a junior. Thanks for making me feel better!

It’s not gonna help a lot but it is a solid extra curricular. It’s like any other job and if you show more interest in law, then it is even better.
