Will not being in PLME affect me?

<p>Hey all, I was recently accepted to Brown for the Class of 2014. Been really happy and grateful, and really lucky I got in. And I didn’t get into the PLME program, which was expected. =)</p>

<p>Just wondering, since I’m also a Pre-Med hopeful, will this put me at a disadvantage on my Pre-Med track? I really want to be able to access the programs that the PLME kids will get to access, like clinical practices and such. =/ Is there another way around that? I know PLME is really competitive.</p>

<p>most our pre-meds aren’t PLME. I know multiple non-PLMEs doing research, and it’s not like Brown says “oh, you’re not PLME, don’t bother applying for this position”</p>
