If your last name is clearly asian then they'll probabaly know either way

I'm debating the same thing... and most likely not reporting I'm asian and hoping for a application reader that doesn't know my last name is asian :P

well when you look at my name ... i dont think you can tell what it is at alll...its really unique.

Worst case scenario: they'll assume you're Asian.

Put it down, so they will know you are coming out with eveything and not hiding anything. Unless of course you are asian and your last name is like Robinson or some other non asian last name :)

haha im asian but i don't really know if my last name sounds asian...my first name certainly doesnt..at least i think

Jews = More over-represented than Asains :(

^^^lol .

Haha in response to the changing last name post, I believe that the Common App has a spot for "original last name". :)
