Will one C my senior year hurt my chances?

I’ve gotten straight A’s all throughout high school except for one B in AP US. My cummulative GPA junior year was 4.5. I took regular precal my junior year because advanced precal was removed as a class because not enough people signed up to take it. However, i really wanted to take Calc BC my senior year. Therefore I skipped Calc AB and took Calc BC. The class was seriously a struggle. I ended up with a C. My senior year (first semester) I’m taking AP Lit, AP Chinese, Econ AP Calc BC and Anatomy. I have lots of extracurriculars. I’m applying to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCD and other states. Will this one C affect my college decisons?

PLEASE HELP

It might, but it sounds like you’ve done well in everything else, so it might not be enough to matter. It certainly won’t help, though.

Should not (assuming you maintain the min required GPA which seems you will) and unless they put you in a waitlist later on and ask for your senior grades!

I don’t think UC’s get senior grades until after your senior year. When you apply, you only put freshman-junior year grades. And if you have only 1 C, you definately won’t get deferred. You’re fine.

All UC’s except UCLA and UCB, require that for you to maintain your provisional admission that you have a weighted UC GPA of 3.0 Senior year with no D’s or F’s. For UCLA/UCB, it is an unweighted UC GPA of 3.0, no more than 2 C’s and no D’s or F’s. You are fine.
