Will Relatives Give Me An Edge? (And a "Chance Me" Request)

Though I'm technically not a legacy, I have an uncle and aunt who met at Penn and graduated from there. That uncle was also on faculty at Penn, and his father graduated from Wharton. Will that in any way improve my application? They will likely be sending in a letter of rec to the effect that they are graduates and former faculty.

I'll be applying RD...I suppose that being said, here are my numbers:

since they only consider legacy during the ED process, and you’re applying RD, I doubt it will have a significant impact

bump 10char

Sounds good! ECs and Essays are important now.

I just read that if you don’t have calculus in high school = no Wharton for you. So instead of giving them an automatic reject file I’m applying as a politics and economy major hoping for a transfer. If I even get in. Haha.

If you never had calculus in high school, you aren’t going to get an a in math 104, and you aren’t going to get into Wharton anyway. Apply to Wharton if you want to go to Wharton - people don’t just say that. It’s unbelievably difficult to transfer between schools. I have at least two friends in Wharton that started in math 103 & 104.
