yr not really a legacy if yr father went to penn for grad school, but it’s better than nothing…but legacyish so good to apply ed.

yr roots are really interesting. if i were an admissions officer, i’d think that was cool.

r u sure u want wharton- it’s math a lot harder than sat math? the math sat section is pretty easy and it should be pretty easy for most wharton students to get an 800 or just about an 800. same w/ the satII. u might not want business. cas is really good too if yr not sure that u want business.

yr internship is good.

u can always take standardized tests again so don’t let that discourage u.

good luck

I agree that your roots are quite out of the ordinary.

Definitely apply!

FALSE!

from the website:

Again, I’m amazed at how many true legacy applicants don’t understand that they ARE legacies and they WILL receive a bump with early decision applications. You are definitely a legacy and a strong candidate. You should be sure to apply early decision and get ready for that acceptance letter in January. Be sure your essays are stellar! You have a 40%+ chance of being accepted vs 16% regular decision/no legacy and with your stats probably much higher.

I would say high chances except for the fact that I don’t see much business/leadership stuff in your ec’s which wharton really emphasizes. Unless you’re being recruited, your ec’s will hurt you a bit. I’d say you still have an above average chance but if you could show some more passion towards business or just some general leadership stuff, it’d boost your chances ALOT.
