Will starting off at Santa Fe hurt me in the long run?

My ultimate goal is to get into UF's vet school. I did not get admitted into UF's freshmen class. Though it is not stated, it seems as though UF's vet school takes preference in its own undergrads, so I'm considering transferring to UF after getting an AA. I know I have a better chance of successfully transferring if I go to Santa Fe, but will the vet school look down on me? I got into UCF and that's my only other option. It would be harder to transfer in 2 years from there with Florida's budget cuts and such, though definitely not impossible. My last option is to do my entire 4 years at UCF and apply to vet school from there.

If you ultimately want to transfer to UF for your Junior and Senior years, I would go to Santa Fe. It is possible to transfer at that point from another university, but preference is given to those who graduated from a Florida community college. More students transfer to UF from Santa Fe than any other school. I took a couple of transient classes at Santa Fe (statellite campus, not in Gainesville) and was very impressed. If I had known before I started that they had a campus near me with a good variety of classes I would have gone there to start with. Also, by going to Santa Fe you will already know the area and meet others who are/will be going to UF.

I would go to UCF…UF has a way of crushing dreams it seems
