Will Summer be offered in lieu of fall for substandard test scores?

My son has applied for Fall 2012 as a freshman. He has a 4.00 GPA but only achieved a 23 composite on his best ACT (he's going to take once again in October). Does UCF offer summer if stats are not good enough for Fall or should he submit another application for summer?

They will offer him summer if they don’t they don’t think he’s up to par for fall but still see potential.

Thanks. I was just not sure if he could apply for summer and fall at the same time.

I’m in the same situation as your son! I have a feeling since the ACT is so low that they will recommend the summer term. I’d prefer fall, but summer is better than nothing.

Yeah and unfortunately he visited UCF yesterday and really liked it despite the fact that they don’t have a swim team and he’s a swimmer. I wish he would have waited to visit the schools he is accepted to. Oh well.

good luck to you rosiha3! Please let us know when you have a decision.
